possibilities

Mongolia - out. I'll contribute to my IRA instead.

Yeah, being an adult sucks sometimes.

Current possibility #1:
Teach until August
hang in Oregon
Mexico City September-December
Ecuador until February
Senegal until April
Moscow until July (three month minimum required)
then, law school

Possibility #2:
teach until mid-June
visit Oregon
go to Jordan for intensive summer course (or Senegal for French)
teach in Jordan for the year and learn Arabic
spend the summer in Ecuador
then, law school

************

Just talked to Susan about the possibility of spending the summer there in Eugene with her and "the girls" - detoxing on locally grown organic produce and pursuing acupuncture and Chinese medicine options. She was most definitely into that idea.

So, I'm liking Possibility #3:
Leave as soon as school is out
spend a couple months detoxing in Oregon
then Jordan or Mexico, Ecuador, Senegal, Russia

I like the idea of heading out in 7 weeks from yesterday. I won't have all the money I want, but I could be much healthier for it. Am I having difficulties swallowing because of an enlarged thyroid, or because I'm thinking about the enlarged thyroid??

day off

Wow, so this is what a day off feels like. And what beauty for the Roommate and Boyfriend (in about 7 hours, to be called Husband) and the Kyrgyzstani Invaders to be gone.

I slept in until 8 am. What a treat.

Just now walked to the grocery store with my canvas bags to handle the people thinking I'm crazy again. (Why would I not drive .3 miles? Why would I not get plastic bags that I don't need?) Cooking Cajun w/S&M tonight. Remembered why I don't buy meat - besides it damaging my karma, it's freakin expensive.

Now I will luxuriously do laundry, take a bath, cook cornbread and boil rice.

It's a great day to be me. All I need is some Zydeco to make the scene complete.
